Savings goal planner

Pick a goal, say how many orders you can skip each week and see how long it takes to get there. This is simple arithmetic with no interest or returns.

-kept per week
-weeks to goal
-months to goal

Make the saving real

Skipped orders only count if the money moves. On the day you skip an order, transfer the amount to a separate savings account or a goal pot in your bank or payment app. If you leave it in your main account it tends to disappear into other spending.

Choosing a goal that keeps you going

  • Small and near: a book, a good pair of shoes, a weekend outing. Reachable in a few weeks.
  • Medium: a phone upgrade, a course, a trip. A few months.
  • Long: an emergency fund of a few months of expenses. A long project, so celebrate the milestones.

A note on interest

This planner ignores interest and returns on purpose, so the answer is conservative and easy to check. If you later choose to invest the money, that is a separate decision where a registered adviser or your bank can help.
